Risk and Compliance

Whilst all licensees have ASIC standards to adhere to, we pride ourselves on the professionalism, communication and quality guidance that our relationship focused team provides.

Training and Education

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an integral part of the professional framework. Capstone’s Authorised Representatives are required to undertake ongoing training and education to maintain and update the knowledge and skills appropriate to an individual’s authorisation. Further to this, we assist advisers with their ongoing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) obligations for the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) by incorporating CPE elements in our training program.

Our annual training program includes Capstone facilitated Professional Development days, SMSF and Aged Care Workshops and online webinars covering current industry issues, investment trends, economic updates, strategies and advice opportunities for your business – and all assessed by a Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) accredited assessor.

Research

Our overall Research environment is substantial and is designed to help you do business.

We provide our advisers with an industry leading, extensive Approved Product List (APL) sourced from the highly professional third party provider, Lonsec. Any product researched by Lonsec that is rated investment grade or better is available for our advisers to use through a detailed online research portal.

To further assist you, we underpin this research with an extensive list of Platforms, Master Trusts, Multi managers, Risk insurers and Stock brokers.

Paraplanning

The preparation of advice documents (Statement of Advice, etc.) is an essential part of the advice process but it can also be an onerous and time consuming task. The alternative to preparing plans yourself is to outsource this to Capstone’s experienced and qualified in house Paraplanning Team.

Our team have intimate knowledge of Capstone’s templates and Xplan set up; and are part of the wider Compliance Team, meaning they are across all relevant changes and updates.

They can take care of preparing advice documents and updating relevant templates, Xplan modelling for your recommended strategies, client data entry into Xplan and preliminary modelling/research/product comparisons if required – freeing up your time to work on what you do best.
